The 17th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment

Company E Inc's:

17th's Reenactments

The pictures below are "images" taken in the Alexander Blue House at Historic Greenmead Village on May 6th. This was the third of the three "Lecture Series” the 17th delivered for Greenmead.

The topic," Civil War-Preventive Medicine," was presented by Assistant Surgeon, Captain Gerry Turlo who expanded the focus of the history of preventive medicine to include the American Revolutionary War through the Gulf War (Desert Storm).  The lecture ended with questions from the audience which Gerry fielded with his usual candor.

The presentation was well received by the audience due to no small part to Dr. Turlo's experience as a present day physician.

The Greeters: Joyce Vitez , Fred (President Lincoln) Priebe, Sally Nosbisch, and Sgt. Doug Nosbisch

The Supporters: Joyce Vitez , Cathy Turlo and Terrie Fisher

The Introduction: Fred Priebe and      Dr. Gerry Turlo

The Preparation or "What Have I Done"  Dr. & Mrs. Gerry Turlo

Other members of the 17th in attendance were Al Kohring, Bonnie Priebe, Ed Vitez, and videoing the presentation, Curtis and Stacy Koch!
